On 25 November 2025, Digitex successfully completed one of the key public safety infrastructure projects in northern Poland. Under a public tender procedure conducted by Pomeranian Voivodeship Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Gdańsk (KW PSP), we acted as the main contractor, delivering and installing modern digital alarm sirens as part of the expansion of the Public Warning and Alarm System.
The project was implemented under the National Recovery Plan and the “Crisis Resilience” program, aimed at strengthening the resilience of Poland’s public safety infrastructure.
Scope of Digitex Works within the Public Warning and Alarm System Project
As part of the contract, Digitex was responsible for the comprehensive supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of 70 modern digital alarm sirens, deployed at facilities of the State and Volunteer Fire Service units across the Pomeranian region.
The scope of works included:
- supply of Digitex digital alarm sirens,
- installation of devices at locations designated by the Contracting Authority,
- equipping each siren with:
- a local control panel with display, providing real-time device status and enabling fast local activation and testing — in the event of loss of radio and/or GSM communication, an authorized operator can activate the siren directly from the control panel, ensuring high effectiveness and guaranteed system operation,
- a GSM module for remote control,
- a full-capacity power supply with battery backup,
- implementation of the proprietary DigitexWAVE control software, developed in full compliance with technical specifications, and its integration with existing selective alerting system object stations, enabling siren activation via both GSM network and analogue radio communication,
- system integration with the fire service infrastructure,
- configuration of predefined alarm signals,
- testing, commissioning and user training,
- preparation and delivery of full as-built documentation.

Project Outcome – Real Enhancement of Regional Safety
The completion of the project delivered measurable benefits to public safety in the Pomeranian region.
Thanks to the new installations:
- the coverage and effectiveness of public warning have been significantly increased,
- remote siren activation via GSM has been enabled,
- operational continuity is ensured even in the event of power outages,
- the equipment standard of State and Volunteer Fire Service units has been raised,
- the overall reliability of the crisis response system has been improved.
Today, modern digital alarm sirens integrated with advanced control software represent one of the key elements of the critical infrastructure for crisis response and population protection.
